The Gallerian shopping mall was built in the 1970’s and has since been rebuilt a couple of times, the latest change was among other things a new entrance at the end of Hamngatan.  The stairway and escalator leads to the in some ways disreputable Malmskillnadsgatan. Victoria Tower in Kista (in northern Stockholm) as viewed from the highway going from north to south. According to architect Gert Wingårdh, the shape of the tower was inspired by the glittering microphone of Swedish singer Charlotte Perrelli, performing ”Hero” in the 2008 Eurovision song contest.
